An entire-cross section of our team jumped into action one rainy day in November to rescue a cat that had gotten away in our parking lot and proceeded to climb one of our pine trees.

Time, Talent, Treasure: the things all organizations hope to be rich with. Sitting down to write this Direct Line, after greeting five chipper early morning dog walkers in our lobby on a brisk spring day, I know that HAWS is rich.

9:00am: While our front doors may have just been unlocked and opened for the day, HAWS has already been a hive of activity for several hours. Kennel caregivers and the SNIP clinic team have been busy bringing the shelter to life, greeting the current residents and prepping for the day ahead. Adoption counselors are busy managing animal accounts, assorted paperwork and a lengthy list of emails and other messages. Let the chaos begin!
